VibeRecap or ThreadRecap?

Same chat. Two questions.

Both read an exported WhatsApp chat, voice notes included, and both are made by the same person. VibeRecap says how a relationship feels and how it changed. ThreadRecap writes the record: every voice note as text, a summary and a PDF.

Both products are made by André Daniel. This page says what each one is for, not which one is better.

Which one fits

  1. You wonder how it's going

Warm or cold, who keeps it going, closer or drifting apart. That is VibeRecap.

  2. You need it in writing

A dated PDF to show a lawyer, a landlord or HR, every voice note written out. That is ThreadRecap.

  3. You have hours of voice notes

To read them as text, in order, with who said what and when. That is ThreadRecap too.

  4. You want both

Export the chat once and add the same file to each. They are separate products, paid separately.

Why one maker built two products

ThreadRecap came first. People export a WhatsApp chat and need what is inside it: the voice notes written out, a PDF for a dispute, a summary of a long group. It answers “what was said?”, and it is careful never to judge the people in the chat.

Then a different question kept arriving with the same file. “Is he losing interest?” “Is our group dying?” “Is it me, or did it get colder?” A record does not answer that, and a summary that tried would have to take a side. So VibeRecap was built to read the space between people: who writes first, how fast replies come, how warm the words are, and how all of it moved over the months.

Using both on the same chat

You export the chat once. The same .zip file works on both sites, on iPhone and Android, with or without media.

The two do not share an account, a payment or your data. Each keeps its own copy for as long as its own privacy page says, and deleting it on one site does not touch the other. If you only want to know how things feel, start with VibeRecap's free first look. If you need to turn the chat into a PDF or read every voice note as text, ThreadRecap is the one.

Where ThreadRecap does more

ThreadRecap turns the chat into a PDF, a spreadsheet or a text file, writes out the speech in videos, and keeps a record you can show someone. VibeRecap does none of that. It gives a read.

Questions

Are VibeRecap and ThreadRecap the same company?

They are two products by the same maker, André Daniel. Each has its own site, its own account and its own payment.

Can ThreadRecap tell me if he's losing interest?

No. ThreadRecap writes the record and answers questions about what was said. A read of how the relationship feels, and how it changed, is what VibeRecap is for.

Can VibeRecap give me a PDF of the chat?

No. VibeRecap gives a read, not a copy of the chat. For a PDF or a transcript of every voice note, use ThreadRecap.

What happens to my chat?

Voice notes and files are deleted once your read is written. The text is kept encrypted for 30 days so you can ask about it, then deleted. It is never used to train AI.

Every chat has a vibe.
